Book Covers

They say you can't judge a book by its cover but it's the cover I'm especially interested in.

I look for old books that I can use in altered book art projects.  An interesting title becomes the theme of the book.  This one has some interesting possibilities.

Or this one ......  perhaps, my life story?????

Finding these books at the flea market was a great discovery for me -  especially at the almost give-away price the vendor was asking.  Add to the pile of Future Projects.

The Knighthood book was written around 1900 and was on the NY Times best seller list.  It spawned a whole industry of  historical romance novels.    The story is of the tribulations of  Mary Tudor the younger sister of Henry VIII, who fell in love with a commoner.  However, for political reasons her brother arranged for her to marry the King of France

Have a fun weekend!  I'm going to try to get out and take some pictures -  something I haven't done for awhile.
