I love the cone flowers around this fence.
In years past it was said that the symbol of an ideal middle class life was a cottage with a white picket fence. In the middle of town there sits such a symbol.
In today's world some see it as a negative symbol of a trapped existence. Some people just don't want to paint white picket fences and the Tom Sawyer scheme no longer works.

Charming photos - and I love the catchy title. I've never lived behind a picket fence.
ReplyDeleteadorable all the way around...sigh.
ReplyDeleteThese fences and flowers are wonderful! I love them, although i know they're considered idealistic in this day and age. I've yet to see a house here in Oregon with a white picket fence. Guess they're not a Left Coast thing
ReplyDeleteI do love white picket fences, these are especially lovely. That cone flower shot is fantastic!!
ReplyDeletei love the white picket fences around my neighborhoods. love your captures:) thanks for sharing the joy of these beauties!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty place you live! I've seen some picket fences on the Left Coast in beach communities...... not so many in town.
ReplyDeleteI love white picket fences..Growing up in a desert community was not something I'd see..
ReplyDeletei still like the little house with the white picket fence. i don't see it as a trapped existence but a choice. it is so much more inviting to visit.
ReplyDeleteLove the ones with the coneflowers. I have two sections of picket fence in my garden, the paint is peeling and I love it that way.
