Randomly Speaking

1.  The only original work of art which I own is a cow - a life size cow.

The artist is Woody Jackson, especially well known in Vermont.  You may recognize the cow from the logo of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

2.  Taking an old typewrite apart is not that easy.  Just ask my husband.

3.  I splurged on a Lensbaby special effects lens.  Don't ask me why.  I have not yet mastered the manual controls on my camera but I just couldn't resist.  Here's the first picture I took.

4.  I found this old enamel pan at the thrift store for $1.00.  I immediately knew I needed it to use as a photo prop.

5.  My girlfriend was going to get rid of this planter.  Whoa,  not so fast girlfriend.  I'll take it.  Now she thinks it looks pretty good.  So we are "sharing custody".   I'll use it for awhile and then send it back to her.

  1. I have never seen those old typewriters in my thrift shop wanderings. If I ever do, you can bet I will snatch it up.

  3. Love that cow! That planter looks great with the flowers in it. I've read about lensbaby lenses, but don't completely understand them. It made for a very cool photo - I'll be interested to watch as you learn more about it. Have a great weekend.

  5. I like the picture of the typewriter keys! We had an old one kind of like that around here somewhere...maybe it's in the attic? And the planter is pretty...and unique! I can see why you both like it. Thanks for stopping by!

  9. I found some old typewriters that were not all that special and my hubby took the keys off for me. And you are right -- not so easy. I sold the keys on ebay for a great profit. Now I have 3 vintage typewriters that I can't bear to piece out because I love them!

Thanks for sharing your 5 facts this week Stephanie.
