Just Coffee

A good cup of coffee is absolutely necessary to start my day - preferably Dunkin Donuts coffee.  Just plain coffee with real cream -  none of that powdered stuff from fake cows.

Is it possible to get a cup of coffee-flavored coffee anymore in this country? What happened with coffee? Did I miss a meeting? They have every other flavor but coffee-flavored coffee. They have mochaccino, frappaccino, cappuccino, al pacino…Coffee doesn’t need a menu, it needs a cup.-Denis Leary

When I found this quote of Denis Leary I knew exactly where he was coming from.  Fancy coffees are fine during the day or for dessert but give me a regular cup of coffee in the morning.

  4. I like the simplicity of this subject. I've been a hazelnut girl, with a touch of cinnamon for a long time-but once in awhile I get just plain. "Breakfast Blend" or "Columbian Wake Up Call", but no Al Pacino.

  6. I just love this, I haven't seen one of those old coffee pots in ages.
I'll second "Breakfast Blend" as well, as long as you don't like your coffee too strong.

  8. What a great pot! Lovely processing! I'm a Starbucks person- but certainly appreciate a good cup of "regular" coffee- nice and strong!

  13. I agree! I can't find a decent ground coffee here in New Zealand, so I have to settle for Nescafe instant. It will do--a lot better than any fancy, schmancy stuff! You can't get a 'regular' cup in most restaurants here, which makes me sad.....

  15. Too funny about coffee. I don't drink it but I totally agree there so many flavors that I think they forgot what it is supposed to taste like.

  16. Coffee, my favorite morning necessity.

My Mom collects tea pots. Your coffee percolator would fit right in with her collection.
