There is still one more week of summer but it looks and feels like fall. Pumpkins are popping up everywhere and there are splashes of color in the trees. There are a few hardy flowers still hanging in there for the last few days.
Summer gathers up her robes of glory
And, like a dream, glides away.
Visiting today at
Tuesday Muse and
Texture Tuesday.
With the rain we have received in the last few weeks it feels more like autumn than it looks. The grass and prairie are green and some trees are just starting to turn.
ReplyDeleteFall ranch work is in full swing.
Beautiful colors for these autumn coneflowers. LOVE your blog header!!!
ReplyDeleteI love coneflowers and they seem to take on their own beauty even when fading in Autumn. Looks so nice with the the texture.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image. Love the contrasting colours.
ReplyDeleteConeflowers are so fun capture with their unique natural texture. I would love for you to share this in the Texture Twist link up!

I just love coneflowers... they seem to gain more color in September. Lovely edit Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteI do love my coneflowers...but today I cut them all down, along with the black-eyed Susans. It was time, but the narrow flowerbed is so sad-looking now.
ReplyDeleteFeels like fall here, too. I love it! Nice find with the coneflowers. Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photo!
ReplyDeleteThe texture on the cone flower - so lovely. I've tried to grow them in my garden but they don't do well at my altitude.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that quote! I'm ready to welcome fall later this week. Lovely last blooms of summer :)
