Road Trip

Anyone for a road trip?  I see Nancy at A Rural Journal and Pat the talented Artful Diva have been out riding their tricycles.  Perhaps we can hit the roads together.  Oh, the places we could go.

I remember the day my uncle showed up at my house with a tricycle.  There would be no stopping me now.  Off I go to explore the neighborhood.  I was a real daredevil back then riding with no helmet.

Last Saturday it was my DH who showed up with this tricycle.  I sent him to the grocery store and he detours to a yard sale.  A year ago I passed one by at an antique store and regretted that action.  I guess I talked  about it a lot.

Before converting to black and white I applied Kim Klassen's texture Jay and Nancy's texture Deanna.

  1. I love it! I have come across some sweet bikes and regretted not purchasing. But often the price is sky high and asking too much..

  3. I'm sure glad people love trikes! What fun these have been. I think I'll start looking for an adult sized trike with a basket to hold the groceries for me! Love your shot and texture. Happy Tuesday!

  7. Oh I so remember my big red tricycle. Sooo big that my parents had to put "blocks" on the pedals so I could reach them until I grew into it. So wish I had a photo of it.

  8. This gave a really nice vintage look. Suits your draw toward antiques and such. I have a couple pics of me on a trike when I was little. I need to ask my mom for those. Can't remember what color, but I hope it was blue-somehow I think it might have been red. have a great day.
