1. Hardly a week goes by that I don't find some " treasure". These little molds are my latest flea market discovery. I don't know what the B molds are for. Any ideas?
2. I usually don't know what I am going to do with my finds when I get home but these little molds came in handy for holding all my bits and pieces.
3. At the end of the day some vendors at the flea market don't want to lug the heavy things home. I was able to score an old typewriter for $5.00. Since I already had two typewriters at home and no room for a third , it was time to cut off the keys. Not an easy job.
4. Years of accumulating things have now brought me to the point of limiting my purchases to small items. There's just no more room.
5. There's a sense of euphoria when you find something for 50 cents. That's what this pocket watch cost. Of course it doesn't work and there's a crack - but that's the charm of the piece.

Lovely post, I have had this adversion for second stores or flea markets (they've always made me sad)-but more and more women share their finds and joy of giving something a second life, I've started with the weekend flea markets, it is fun. Nothing for 50 cents yet though :-) Flattering photos.
ReplyDeleteYou sure know how to make a small treasure take on New Life . . .
ReplyDeletewowzer!
A typewriter for $5?? Woo hooo. Would love to see it!
ReplyDeleteOopsm never mind... I see you cut the keys off and they look nice in the bowl!
ReplyDeleteFun photos of all your finds. Upcycle/recycle -- you are good! Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeletei love the clocks & keys ... so creative. i wonder what you will do with them in the end? curious minds wish to know. ( :
ReplyDeleteSeriously wonderful finds! I think the B mold might be for butter?
ReplyDeleteOh how I envy your watch faces .. I think the B might be Blancmange ?
ReplyDeleteLove these finds..this is the kind of stuff I look for at flea markets and antique malls...I have a "thing" for small pieces!
ReplyDeleteI love your finds, especially the watches.
ReplyDeleteI miss my thrift store days, but like you, there's just no more room. I love your little treasures. Thanks so much for sharing today Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, you are the greatest treasure hunter!!! Your idea of 'little treasures' is great when you run out of space.
ReplyDeleteMy guess for the "B" mold is:
1) "B" for the bits of your bits n pieces (next find a "P" for the pieces): or
2) "B" for Baby's (it is small, you know).
Good for you but a buyer's shame that the old typewriter went for five dollars. They stopped using those round keys with the inserts back in the early 50's. Check the next one against what you see on eBay. It may take a while to sell but they may be running for a lot (sell for profit) even if they don't work.
..
I like your lovely treasures.
ReplyDeleteI'd have a great time with you finding all those lovely treasures.
ReplyDeleteWarm regards,
Karla
What a fun visit to your booth! I love the little molds.
ReplyDeleteyou have some wonderful finds there...and the internal workings of the typewriter can be pretty cool too...hope you keep some the springs/wheels/dials as well as the keys...
ReplyDeletea wonderful finds - and the photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeletewhat great finds...love those little molds and could sure find a spot and a reason to buy those. I am like you, no more room in the inn!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of this but have to wonder-- do you collect and showcase or create works of art with them?
ReplyDeleteI agree I have to limit myself to small things, most of the time, because of lack of space. Great finds.
