Someone cared enough about this bike to paint a pretty design on the fender. Riding in this slushy winter weather sure does make a mess though.
This bike was hitched to a parking meter on a busy city street. The citrus color combination and the painted detail caught my eye and I had to stop for a photo. I know the passers-by gave me strange looks as I tried to get this shot, wondering what there was about this dirty, slushy scene that was photo worthy. A year ago I would have passed it by too but now I try to look at things differently and see things as a photo op.
I am determined to work on my photography skills this year and look forward to linking up each week with P 52 Sweet Shot Tuesday.
Also joining This or That Thursday.

Love the detail picked up on in the design on the mud guard and the wear on the frame, good shot. Looks like a well used bike.
ReplyDeleteI really like the contrasts in the photo.
ReplyDeleteBikes and Photography...two of my favorite things!! I love this photo!! And, I am so envious of this sweet ride!
ReplyDelete(I hope to improve my photography skills as well, this year!!)
just marvelous.......
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun edit! Love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat image. Great colors. Good job for stopping. Who cares what anybody might think. I think they're too busy with their own thoughts and if they give a care about you, just think "you don't see anything, yet you'd appreciate this photo if it was hanging on a wall somewhere". Keep looking.
ReplyDeleteLovely image. The perspective and finish are fabulous. Good for you and cheers to a year full of fabulous photography!
