Guidance

Photo Art Friday is back for a New Year and to start off the year we were asked to pick a guiding word.  I went through a whole list of words -  there were so many that I could use.  I finally decided on Discipline since that is what I need in order to achieve my goals for this year.

These columns grace the entrance of an office building in Boston even though one might think they were to an ancient Greek temple.   Probably overkill for a modern office building but they do represent unbending strength and resolve which is needed in maintaining discipline.

By the way, I intend to maintain this discipline in my endeavor to take photos daily the hope of seeing improvement over time.  Self discipline has never been my strong point so we'll see how this goes.

Stop by Pixel Dust Photo Art to see the words guiding other artista and photographers.

  18. It is a grand word. It really grew on me last year and I was even a little sad to let it go. However, there really is no "letting go" BEcause it is Now part of me.

    Love your photograph. Very expressive.

  20. Interesting word... I am lucky to have a man in my life who with a guiding and loving hand provides me with discipline. It has been a very positive force within my life and allowed me to really grow as a person, both creatively and mentally
