Random 5 Friday

ONE

Friday means it's Random 5 time.  All week long I mentally keep a list of random things and then when I sit down at my computer my mind goes blank.  I've got to get better organized and start making lists.

TWO

People have been debating the merits of Daylight Saving Time this week.  I for one am loving it.  Living on the far eastern edge of the country means it gets dark very early.  Just having more daylight gives me an extra burst of energy.

THREE

Just when you start to think winter may finally be over, along comes another burst of snow and ice.
I hope this is the last one.  I am so tired of snow pictures.

This is me looking out the window yesterday.

I'm feeling trapped at home.  I need to get out in the sunshine.

FOUR

I needed eggs this week and went right to the source.

This was a first for me.  I'm a city girl and can count the number of times I've been to a farm on one hand.

FIVE

Speaking of chickens,  I bought this cookie jar at the antique store.  I can't remember the last time I actually made cookies so I really didn't need a cookie jar.  But the price was right (cheap) and it was cute and I thought it would fit in with my spring decor.

That wraps up another week.  Now let's go over to Nancy's Random 5 Friday to see what the others are up to.

  2. I love the cookie jar, Stephanie! There is nothing like farm fresh eggs, yeah for you.
Everyday is one step closer to spring, think big blue skies, sun and green.

  3. Oh I love the little cookie jar- how cute! I don't much like DST...I think my state would not miss it. I can understand why yours would need it. My husband says we should split the difference and change the time thirty minutes and keep it that way year round. I'm glad spring is here, and I hope you get a taste of it soon. Farm fresh eggs are the best!

  5. Can't agree about DLS - seems that some states change and others stay on Standard. It's a Hodgepodge. Love that old timey cookie jar.

  7. I love that chicken jar. And the eggs. Fresh is best! But I do hate Daylight Savings Time. I keep hoping they will pick a time and stick with it.

  8. Your cookie jar is just too cute ... it would look nice at my house! ;) I don't like the dark mornings of DST, but that will change as the days get longer. Nothing like fresh eggs except maybe a homegrown tomato! I hope the sun is shining for you this weekend. Have a happy one.
