Sea Steam

During our recent cold snap I had an early morning dentist appointment.   Leaving the house at sunrise would get me there just in time.  But when I went outside into the zero degree weather and saw the ocean I knew I was going to be late.  It was a sunrise that was begging to be photographed.

The water temperature was warmer than the air causing sea steam.  The clouds were hanging so low they looked like they were touching the water and the sun was blazing so bright it made the ocean look like it was on fire.

Sunrise is pretty fast so I'm happy I was there at the right time.  In a few moments it looked like this

Come on over to Sweet Shot Tuesday for some fantastic photos.
