The Christmas Season

There's a feeling of Christmas in the air.  This past week was full of holiday activities in out town with the official tree lighting, craft fairs, musical events and beautiful decorations.

'Tis the  SEASON for some sparkle.

COLORFUL ribbon candy makes its annual appearance at this time of year.

WEATHER helped with a light dusting of snow to put people in the holiday mood.

By 4:00 PM it is dark and the fishing boats are SILHOUETTEd against the winter sky.

The days activities end with candlelight carolling at the Monastery along the river.  It's a beautiful sight.  The most popular Christmas Carol is Silent Night.

All is CALM,  all is bright.............

  2. I don't think I have ever bought ribbon candy - how can that be? need to take care of that if for no other reason than to photograph it. Gorgeous silhouette of the boats and your calm is beautiful.

  5. The ribbon candy photo is gorgeous, or is it the candy is gorgeous? Either way, a beautiful post of photos from your side of the country.

  6. I totally forgot about ribbon candy. Excellent choice for colorful. You captured Mary well. I've never been able to get a shot there that I like. Still trying. I kind of forgot about the snow (and that's a good thing), but I like it with the Maine style wreathe. Hope your weekend was fun.
