Signs Signs

Signs Signs everywhere a sign

Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind

Do this, don't do that

Can't you read the sign?

This week's song is the Five Man Electric Band's version of Sign.

Random 5 Friday

Another week has flown by and it just dawned on me that it's Friday and time for a Random 5.

One

Your estimated hold tie is 41 minutes.  That's what I was told on a recent call to a government agency.  It turned out to be 65 minutes but who's counting?  It's a week later and still have not resolved the matter.

Two

Flowers for no reason at all.......... always a welcome surprise.

Three

Even though we had another day of snow this week I finally put away my snowmen and started to make things look  like spring may be coming soon..... maybe.

Four

Someday I may get around to restringing this necklace.

Five

I once thought it was a good idea to collect old dishes .

Now it's time to check out Nancy and the rest of the gang at Random 5 Friday.

New Additions

Meet the proud new mom of a bouncing baby lamb.

After an easy 30 minute labor she gave birth to this sweet little lamb.

We were lucky enough to arrive at the farm just at the moment of birth.

Mom had her own support group standing by offering encouragement.

There will be more babies coming soon .  Here are the ladies-in-waiting.

After getting cleaned up the baby get weighed.

This baby will have plenty of playmates.    No. 85 is only 3 days old but already knows her way around.

No. 76 needs a nap after running around all morning.

Finding Color

This winter has been very long and colorless.  The grey skies meet the grey ocean with hardly a distinction between them.    Boats are dirty shades of white.  Land is covered by snow which is now dirty grey.  I miss color and it is hard to find....until I moved further down the pier.  I think I found a fisherman with a love of color.

The buoys hanging on the shanty add another touch of color.

I'm so looking forward to spring and all the colors it will bring.

5 Bits of Randomness

There are some expressions you hardly hear any more.  Such as:

1.   Take a long walk off a short pier.

2.  Still waters run deep.

3.  Between a rock and a hard place

4.  The bloom is off the rose.

5.  I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  That's how I'll feel tomorrow when I turn the calendar page to March.

Still Waters

In between snow days the sun appears and lulls you into thinking spring may be coming.  Alas,  that feeling doesn't last long, for the temps soon turn frigid again and surely more snow will fall.

Still Waters
Day 50 of 365

On this day the water was so still.  Usually the waves are throwing the boats up and down , banging against the pier.  No movement this day.

Random 5

It's Random 5 Friday!

1.  Spending a lot of time indoors this winter has driven me to Photoshop.  I have finally gotten the hang of layers.

2.  I've had it.  I am so done with this never ending winter.

3.  Peanut or Plain?   I would have preferred plain but I'll settle for peanut.

4.  My bedroom faces east. The rising sun  is the first thing I see in the morning.

5.  I love a flea market as much as the next person but I'll wait until spring.

Now, over to Nancy at Random 5 Friday.
